Encode is a mobile app that helps you learn to code through fun, interactive lessons and exercises. It’s designed to make learning to code simple and accessible, allowing you to learn anytime, anywhere—right from your phone.
Yes, it is! You can download the app and start learning for free. Encode is supported by ads, but you can also opt for the Encode Plus subscription for an ad-free experience.
Encode offers hands-on courses in Python, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and CSS. We also have shorter mini-courses covering the Command Line, Java, R, and Swift.
Subscription & Pricing
Encode Plus is our premium subscription. It gives you the best learning experience with unlimited hearts, offline access, and no ads.
Subscriptions are securely handled through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). You can choose a monthly or annual plan, and subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

Apple handles all billing and refund requests for app subscriptions. Since we don't have access to their system, you'll need to request a refund directly through Apple. Here's where to start your request:

If something's not working right, reach out to our support team. Be sure to include details about the problem and your device to help us fix it faster.
The free version needs an internet connection to load lessons, but Encode Plus users can access all lessons and challenges offline automatically.
Absolutely! Your progress syncs automatically when you’re signed in to your account. If you prefer not to sign in, you can export and import your progress manually. Just check the Settings page in the app for instructions.
To delete your account, go to Settings > Destructive Actions > Delete Account. This will permanently erase your account, including all associated progress, completed lessons, earned certificates, and streaks. If you’re unable to delete your account within the app or no longer have it installed, please reach out to our Support team with the subject line “Delete Encode Account,” and we’ll process your request promptly. If you’d prefer to start fresh without deleting your account, you can reset your progress by going to Settings > Destructive Actions > Reset Progress.
Learning Experience
Not at all! Our courses are made for beginners, with easy-to-follow explanations and gradually increasing difficulty.
Just finish an entire Encode course, and you’ll unlock a course certificate.
Go to Settings > Destructive actions > Reset progress to start again.
